Emily has a wealth of teaching experience encompassing beginners to advanced students, young children and adult learners. She has done work for the In Harmony programme in the most disadvantaged areas of Leeds and Stoke, and led children's workshops for Piccadilly Symphony Orchestra. Emily also coaches chamber music for the National Youth Concert Band. 

 

Emily currently teaches clarinet and saxophone at the Manchester Grammar School, Sheffield Music Academy and Sheffield University. She strongly encourages students to participate in ensembles, and conducts school music groups from wind ensembles to sax quartets.

 

Emily also teaches the clarinet privately in Manchester. Lessons are carefully tailored to the individual student, but all students are given a solid grounding in basic technique and encouraged to enjoy making music creatively. If you are interested in tuition please get in touch.
